In 2005 Chervona Strichka Charitable Foundation conducted the 1st Open city competition «Mass Media against AIDS». In one of the nominations a separate poster and computer animation competition was initiated. It was supported by the Kharkiv Branch of the Ukraine National Painters' Union, Kharkiv Branch of the Ukraine National Architects' Union, Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. We thank them very much for their help. Mostly the poster authors were schoolchildren and students from Kharkiv, undoubtedly talented people. Many decisions were as for there level can be compared well with the works of experienced graphic designers. If these were their first steps we can say they were made with confidence, awareness and with active social position.

The Ukraine National Designers' Union instituted a special prize to the poster made by N. Sevostianov and P. Kondrashev «Life continues even in destroyed world».
Laureate: Valeria Rudakova for the FLASH film on the subject of HIV/AIDS. Winner: Anna Chernaia fro the FLASH film on the subject of HIV/AIDS.
In 2006 we conducted the 1st International Poster Competition «AntiAIDS-Ukraine». It was realized as a competition-companion of the VI-th Triennial of the ecological poster and graphics «The 4th Block» devoted to the 20th anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy. And this is not an accidental coincidence. The first case of HIV infection was registered in Ukraine only a year after the Chernobyl tragedy. Initiator — Chervona Strichka Charitable Foundation

To contribute to the information distribution about the scales of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, ways of the virus transmission and socio-psychological consequences of this phenomenon in the society and to the formation of tolerant attitude to the people living with HIV/AIDS. 230 posters from 15 countirs of the worls participated in the competition. They were evaluated by the International Competition Jury consisting of An Sang-Su (Southern Korea), Rene Vanner (Switzerland), Subrata Bhoumik (India), Phil Pisbeck (USA), Madrel Laurence (France), Ruth Clotzel (Brazil), Yuriy Surkov (Russia), Vladimir Lesniak (Ukraine).
Two competitions conducted gave us a possibility to collect a unique collection of posters devoted to HIV/AIDS problem. This collection formed an exhibition of more than 300 posters from 15 countries.
For today many organizations displayed an interest to our exhibition. In October, 2006 With the help and support of the Kharkiv City Council the exhibition was displayed in Varna, Bulgaria. Now we are in the process of negotiation with Daugavpils, Poznzn, Ahmadabed (India).
